Generous Donation for Spartans

Jarrel Bowens, Salmen High Class of 2001, has announced a meaningful donation to his alma mater in honor of Ms. Carol Seagrave, a former staff member remembered for her kindness and support.
Bowens shared that during his high school years, he often arrived late due to family responsibilities. Ms. Seagrave recognized his dedication as a straight‑A student and offered him compassion instead of judgment, ensuring he could continue to succeed. That encouragement helped him thrive, eventually earning the title of Mr. Salmen 2001.
Since graduation, Bowens has built a career in nursing and is now the founder of Right Hand Senior Care of Slidell. To honor Ms. Seagrave’s impact, he is donating $1,000 to Salmen High School, with plans to increase his contributions annually.
Salmen High will determine how best to allocate the funds, as requested by Mr. Bowens, ensuring they benefit students and programs in meaningful ways.
